Module Outline

 

The module aims to provide students with knowledge of: foundations of individual behavior; attitudes and job satisfaction; personality and values; perception and individual decision making; motivation concepts and from concepts to applications; foundation of group behavior; understanding of work teams; and basic approaches to leadership.

On successful completion of this Module you will be expected to:

Demonstrate an understanding of organisational behaviour, and recommend solutions to workplace problems by applying various organisational behaviour concepts and theories.

Explain and analyse a range of Organisational Behaviour theories and their impact on organisational effectiveness and efficiency.

Assess the contribution that a range of ideas have imparted on behaviour management.

Identify effective team working skills and demonstrate the ability to apply these when working with others to produce results.

 

 

Learning and Teaching Strategy

 

Course will consist of lectures, class discussion, textbook assignments, students’                   presentations, discussion of cases, professional articles, video analysis, group dynamics, group assessment report, research project, mid-term and final examination. Have all assigned text reading completed prior to class and be prepared to discuss the chapter topics.
